Songs for My Little Man

Just days after finding out I was pregnant back in October 2011 I hear this song by Christina Perri and felt it was so perfect for my little baby I was carrying.  The lyrics "I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more"  were so fitting since I had felt like I had waited for ever to become a mommy. Luckily I really didn't feel like I had died every day waiting for him!  However, it did feel like I had loved that little fetus for 1,000 years and I knew I would love him or her for 1,000 more years (or longer!)

Then just days before I gave birth I heard this song by Phillip Phillips.  I fell in love with this song instantly and it felt like he was signing it to me about the new baby I would be bringing home.  I couldn't (and still can't) get enough of this song.

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

And then after a few months of driving in the car with my little man and he starts singing "oooh aaaah" along to this song!  Another one of my favorites is Some Nights by the band Fun.  I think this might be Maddex's first official favorite Top 40 Hit.  When he was teeny tiny I would sing this song constantly and it always made him smile.  Clearly he has good taste in music!

Your Daily Dose of Cuteness

I recently brought Maddex for an Easter photo shoot and here are the gems that the photographer caught of my handsome little lad!  We go back in April for an outdoor baseball shoot for his birthday invites and another little project I'm working on.  I CANNOT wait!

My favorite!  I love how is little teeth are showing!

Another fave.  This is the picture on my phone.  I love seeing it every time I check it!

This is a cutie too.  He got that rabbit when he was just a few hours old from his "Auntie" Erin and "Uncle" Daner.

This Chef set is hilarious.  He couldn't stop chewing on the spoon, the pot and the veggies.

I like this one, but I wish we had taken his chef pants off!!

Look at his gut!!

This picture is so him!!  Get this hat off me!

Another cutie!
